About me

Charles is a specialist in all knee problems and in hip, knee, ankle and foot sports injuries. He moved out from London to Bournemouth and Poole to bring up his children by the sea. He brings all of the up to the minute expertise developed in London to the South Coast.

He has excelled in a number of sports himself, having rowed for Oxford, races marathon at the international elite level and in 2017 represented GB at in the UCI Gran Fondo cycling world championships.

This means he really understands sports, sports injuries and how important it is to get you at your best, back to doing what you love, be it a walk on the beach or taking on the worlds best!

Clinics are both in Poole and Bournemouth.

He specialises in High Performane Knee Replacement for active people who want to stay active!

He benefited from a first class medical education at Oxford University and trained in Oxford and London. He is dual qualified in both orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine and is both a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and a Member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine.

During his training Charles secured a year long fellowship at Australia’s most successful sports medicine clinic Sportsmed SA.

As well as all forms of arthroscopic / keyhole, knee and replacement, and lower limb surgery Charles is able to offer shockwave and injection therapy. He has a special interest in Hoffa's syndrome and stem cell work.
