About me

I am a BACP Accredited integrative counsellor/psychotherapist, and clinical hypnotherapist, with additional qualifications in CBT and casework supervison. I have worked in this field since 2003, and have worked with a vast array of people from all walks of life. Because of this I have worked with a variety of presenting and emerging issues.

As well as working privately from my home, I have worked in paid employment in this role as a Co-ordinator of a Counselling and Wellbeing Service in a college of further education, and also 2 different universities as a counsellor/therapist of students. I have a great deal of experience in working with young people 16+.

The majority of my work now consists of helping people to manage stress, anxiety and depression. Having suffered with these conditions in the past, I feel I can offer a great deal of compassion, empathy and a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Previously to working as a therapist, I had a successful career in management, and feel that this enables me to understand how organisations work and how the culture of an organisation can affect its managers and other employees.

I have been married 3 times in my life. Thankfully I am now in a happy and fulfilling relationship. I feel I have a vast experience in understanding relationships, marriages, separation, and divorce. I am also a step mum and can understand the challenges being in this role can bring. I have completed a certificate in Couples Counselling and welcome couples as well as individuals to contact me for issues in your relationships.
