About me

Max Edwards is an Orthopaedic Surgeon in South London, providing NHS services based at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Farnborough. Privately he consults at The Sloane Hospital in Beckenham and Chelsfield Park Hospital in Orpington. Although trained in general Orthopaedics and Trauma, he specialises in disorders of the Knee and Hip.

Mr Edwards completed his surgical training in the South East Thames region (primarily at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospitals). He has recently returned from a year of advanced sub-specialist training in Toronto, Canada. During this fellowship, he gained expertise in the latest techniques for treating disorders of the Knee and Hip. These include primary and revision arthroplasty, hip resurfacing, computer navigation and joint preserving procedures (like osteotomies around the knee, and microfracture).

Alongside the development of his current busy NHS practice he has specific interests in medical education and research. His research has lead to numerous presentations all over the world and publications in internationally renound Orthopaedic journals.

He is committed to providing the highest quality of Orthopaedic care, with a patient centred and evidence based approach.
