About me

Having graduated from the University of Bradford I began my Physiotherapy carrier at the excelling Harrogate and District Foundation Trust. Working alongside the Doctors, Nurses and Orthopaedic Surgeons I developed firm relationships whilst getting an in-depth medical knowledge within many hospital fields. My areas of interest stemmed from Orthopaedics, Respiratory, Cardiac, Care of the Elderly, Neuro Rehab and amputees.

After 4 years within the NHS I was drafted into an MOD position at Catterick Garrison dealing with complex trauma cases from 4 brigade's deployment to Afghanistan during Op Herrick 11 and 12. This varied and specialist role seeing day to day training injuries, battle casualties along with general aches and pains suffered by military employees gave me an expanded knowledge of Physiotherapy modalities and allowed me to begin my own Private Practice.

AVA Physiotherapy was designed to allow "access for all" whilst offering peace of mind that the treating Physiotherapist had the grounding and knowledge from working at the highest and most complex level available.

We offer 2 quiet treatment rooms along with 2 fully equipped gym spaces with a playing field area outside used to test and get the athletes who use us match ready.
