About me

Annika Lindberg is a Counselling Psychologist who works in London Uk- although originally Swedish. Since a decade she has specialised in Problem Gambling and conducted research within the area of Metacognitions and Problem Gambling- part of which took place over her years living in Las Vegas. Upon her return to the UK she worked for a number of years at the National Problem Gambling clinic – on behalf of which she still runs a group for Homeless problem gamblers. Over the last 3 years Annika has branched out to treat other forms of Behavioural addictions running a private practice in central London where she apart from gamblers also treat ‘food addiction’, internet- porn- , and other forms of behavioural addictions. She is employed by Guy’s and St Thomas’s hospital in London where she has started up and runs the hospital’s first ever CBT service for members of staff. Annika is passionate about delivering therapy and likes to work with people from diverse backgrounds using various modes of therapy. Annika is fluent in Swedish. Annika has a special interest in gambling addiction however also enjoys working with other condition such as anxiety disorders and relationship problems.
