My medical training was at Cambridge University and Guy's Hospital Medical School. I was an ARC funded Lecturer in Rheumatology at Guy's Hospital Medical School for 4 years prior to being appointed as a consultant rheumatologist in 1988. Since then I have developed and run the rheumatology service at St. Helier Hospital and ran a General (internal) Medicine firm until 2012.
