About me

I trained at undergraduate level in Edinburgh before moving to the Manchester Deanery in 1999. During higher specialist training in gastroenterology I completed a PhD in swallowing disorders at Manchester University and attained accreditation in general medicine and gastroenterology.

I have over 10 years consultant experience at Royal Bolton Hospital and am Clinical Lead for Endoscopy and Bowel Cancer Screening.

I try to adopt a relaxed style in clinic and the endoscopy unit and with this approach, I aim to ensure patients are comfortable discussing their care. This ensures patients are fully involved in their management.
