About me
I am qualified in both General Internal Medicine and General Cardiology with my sub-speciality being Interventional Cardiology. I trained in dedicated Interventional Cardiology programmes at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust London as a senior Interventional Fellow at both the Hammersmith and St Mary’s Hospitals. Prior to this I was engaged in an international Interventional fellowship at San Raffaele and Columbus Hospitals in Milan, Italy, where I was supervised and instructed by Dr Antonio Colombo. I am highly
skilled in both radial and femoral procedures and have performed structural interventions. I implant pacemakers and complex cardiac defibrillators. I routinely use intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) and am able to use IVUS to optimise stent implantation. I have a keen research interest and have several published peer reviewed manuscripts on IVUS guided stenting, antiplatelet therapy and the long term outcomes of PCI in multivessel coronary artery disease and the influence of gender on PCI outcomes.
