Dr Jake Tanguay took his medical degree in Birmingham and completed his training in Clinical Oncology in the West Midlands where he was awarded the Frank Doyle Medal by the Royal College of Radiologists.
He took up his consultant post in Velindre Cancer Centre in 2009 and has a specialist interest in urological and thoracic cancers and is currently lead clinician for urological cancers within Velindre Cancer Centre. He has a specialist interest in technical radiotherapy including IMRT, VMAT and IGRT, stereotactic radiotherapy and is a member of the local prostate brachytherapy team.
He is an investigator in a number of current clinical research trials in the relevant disease areas.

Thoracic oncology (non small cell lung cancer, small cell lung cancer, mesothelioma and thymoma)
