About me

Experienced systemic/family psychotherapist and EMDR Consultant working with adults, adolescents and children, and with families, couples and individuals in private practice.

In our practice we aim is to enable people to get past their past and towards a better future, transforming the way they live, work and relate to others. Systemic psychotherapy is a very useful way of thinking about relationships (between people or between a person and, say, an idea, illness, disability, etc.). EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an extremely powerful and effective way of healing psychological trauma caused by accidents, violence, rape, abusive relationships (including bullying in the workplace), etc. It is also effective in the treatment of addictions, OCD, performance anxiety and anger/rage.

I bring to my work as a psychotherapist two other relevant sets of experience: many years as a management consultant and as a senior manager/board director of small and medium sized commercial and non-profit organisations operating locally and internationally; as a trained classical singer performing in concerts/opera and familiar with the pressures associated with this and the difficulties of dealing with 'performance anxiety'.
