About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor offering a professional service. My practice is based on a non-judgemental and empathic approach within a confidential environment.
In my practice I offer short term and long term therapy for a range of issues. My counselling practice stretches back some 24 years and includes working as an occupational counsellor in the private sector, working in the NHS as a primary care counsellor and in higher education and private practice. For the past 14 years I have been employed by a leading university in the West Midlands and work as part of the university counselling team for students and staff. My work has included running workshops and CBT based groups for Panic Disorder, Perfectionism, Assertiveness, Anger Management and Depression. I have practiced Mindfulness for several years and I facilitate Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy groups. I have participated in professional teacher training at the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice at Bangor University.
