About me

I am a fully qualified counsellor offering a professional service. My practice is based on a non-judgemental and empathic approach within a confidential environment.
In my practice I offer short term and long term therapy for a range of issues. My counselling practice stretches back 27 years and includes working in the NHS, in higher education and in the private sector. For the past 17 years I have been employed by a leading university in the West Midlands and work as part of the university counselling team for students and staff. My work has included running workshops and CBT based groups for Panic Disorder, Perfectionism, Assertiveness, Anger Management and Depression. I have practiced Mindfulness for several years and I facilitate Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy groups. I have participated in professional teacher training at the Centre for Mindfulness Research & Practice at Bangor University. I have trained in Non-Violent Communication.

Anxiety, Panic Attacks and Panic Disorder with Agoraphobia; work-related stress; Health Anxiety; Relationships; Transforming anger workshops, CBT and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy for depression one-to-one or in groups; coaching using NVC principles.
