Stuart completed his initial surgical training in the South West of England and the Oxford region, gaining a broad surgical experience. During this time he also taught Anatomy at the University of Oxford. He then completed his higher surgical training in ENT surgery on the Oxford training programme.
In 2008 Stuart spent a year as a Fellow at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia, refining his interest in Head and Neck Cancer Surgery and also developing his expertise in advanced endoscopic sinus surgery for snoring.
Before taking up his current position in Oxford he held the post of Consultant otorhinolaryngologist, Head & Neck Surgeon and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Swansea.

Stuart is lead research co-ordinator for ENT and head and neck in Oxford. He is currently supervising a research fellow in head and neck oncology.
