About me

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at the Great Western Hospital, Swindon and BMI The Ridgeway Hospital. I also hold honorary consultant posts at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford and Oxford Children’s Hospital. Having gained a degree in physiology, specializing in the biology of nerve and muscle, from Cambridge University, I qualified in Medicine also from Cambridge in 1996. Completed orthopaedic training in Oxford, during which time I was awarded a Research Fellowship by the Royal College of Surgeons of England to study the function of partial and total knee replacements. After gaining further experience during fellowships worked with world class surgeons at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, British Columbia Children’s Hospital, Vancouver and a visiting fellowship in joint preservation of the young adult hip in Children’s Hospital Boston.
