About me

Mr James Catton is a Consultant Upper Gastro-intestinal Surgeon based at Nottingham City Hospital and BMI The Park Hospital. He specialises in laparoscopically (Keyhole) surgery, performing advanced procedures such as laparoscopic gastrectomy and oesphagectomy.
He also uses a laparoscopic approach almost exclusively for general surgical procedures such as hernia repair and gallbladder surgery. He also has an extensive practise in the the surgical treatment of gastro-oesphageal (Acid) reflux. Mr Catton’s research interests are in Surgical nutrional and Enhanced Recovery after Surgery.
