About me

I am a consultant ENT surgeon with a special interest in disease of the ear, including balance disorders, skull base surgery and hearing restoration surgery. I undertook medical school training at Queen's University Belfast I also hold an intercalated honours degree in pathology. I completed a PhD in bioengineering at the School of Aeronautical Engineering at Queen's University Belfast in 2005. In 2006, I was awarded a prestigious 1-year fellowship in complex ear surgery and balance disorders with Professor John Rutka at the University Health Network, Toronto, Canada. After completion of my fellowship, I worked on staff as a neurologist at Toronto General Hospital until November 2009, when I returned to take up my current post at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
