I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist working in private practice in London City and South West London. I provide both individual and couples therapy and am accredited with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) and the British Psychological Society (BPS). Since completion of my degree in Clinical Psychology, I have completed further specialist training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and am accredited with the British Association for Cognitive and Behavioural Psychotherapies (BABCP). I am also fully trained in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). My approach is integrative and person centred as I use a variety of therapeutic models including psychodynamic psychotherapy, interpersonal therapy, CBT and DBT and tailor the treatment according to the needs of the individual.
Psychotherapy is an interpersonal treatment that involves talking to a trained professional about difficulties that you may be experiencing in any area of your life. It can be useful if you want to explore a specific problem or concern, for example stress, anxiety or depression or if you are feeling stuck in your life and experiencing a general lack of purpose and fulfilment. Psychotherapy provides a safe space in which to explore feelings, gain an understanding of your difficulties and develop better ways of managing or relieving painful or difficult symptoms. It can also help you to recognize long term patterns of thinking and behaving, gain perspective on the effect of past events on your current relationships and make permanent changes to your life. I aim to provide a supportive and confidential environment in which we can jointly explore your concerns or needs.
