About me

I am accredited subspecialist in Urogynaecology from the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. I am one of few consultants in the UK offering laparoscopic (key-hole) surgery for vaginal and uterine prolapse. This includes shorter hospital stay, more robust outcomes and quicker recovery and return to normal activities. I also provide specialist treatment for urinary incontinence and overactive bladder (urinary urgency and frequency) in women including the latest minimally invasive techniques such as Tension Free Vaginal Tape (TVT), urethral bullking agents and botox treatment of the bladder.
I also offer laparoscopic hysterectomy with much shorter hospital stay and return to work within 2-3 weeks.
I pioneered techniques to treat prolapse of the uterus (womb) without the need for hysterectomy as one night hospital stay, which is far less invasive than hysterectomy and allows young women to retain their fertility potential. I have performed more than 700 prolapse and incontinence operations in the last 5 years, with success rate of 98%.
I travelled world wide to teach colleagues the techniques of laparoscopic prolapse surgery and laparoscopic hysterectomy and presented my research in numerous international conferences world wide. I am currently a member of the American Society of Gynecologic Surgeons, an invitation only society for leading gynaecologists worldwide.
