About me
Roland Ede is a Consultant Gastroenterologist who works at Darent Valley Hospital and is hononorary consultant at Guy's & St Thomas' Hospitals.
After qualifying at Guy's, he trained at King's where he was MRC Research Fellow at the Institute for Liver Disease. Following senior registrar training at the Royal London Hospital, he was appointed to Darent Valley Hospital with sessions at Guys & St Thomas'.
He established the extracorporeal biliary lithotripsy service at St Thomas' for the treatment of bile duct and pancreatic stones.
He has been JAG Endoscopy lead for Darent Valley and also lead for Upper GI cancer.
Research interests include inflammatory bowel disese and pancreaticobiliary disease.
Areas of interest
General Gastroenterology with specialist experience in Liver /hepatobiliary disease; Special interest in therapeutic endoscopy including colonoscopy, ERCP and oesophageal dilatation and stenting of gastrointestinal tumours; Management of Crohn's & colitis and gallstone disease.
