Mr Andrew Ballaro is a senior NHS and private Consultant Urological Surgeon highly experienced in the management of all urological problems.
He practices general urology and has major subspecialist interests in surgery for kidney stones, and prostate disease including prostate cancer diagnosis.
He consistently publishes some of the best surgical outcomes in the UK for complex stone removal, and offers a tailored choice of procedures for benign prostatic enlargement disease including Holmium Laser Prostatectomy (HoLEP) and REZUM steam therapy, according to patient requirements, and is experienced at laser surgery for very large prostates. He performs MRI fusion prostate biopsies for the diagnosis of prostate cancer in patients with raised PSA and offers impartial advice on the best treatment modality and access to an expert tertiary referral base.

He still publishes and presents articles regularly, and is co-author of the latest edition of the standard medical student textbook ‘Lecture Notes in Urology’.
