About me

My name is Dr. Jo Seely. I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and a Behavioural Couple Therapist.

With over fifteen years experience in the NHS, I have worked in a variety of settings and have had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life. I have supported them, using evidence-based psychological therapy, to overcome mental health difficulties ranging from mild to severe.

I am also an experienced Clinical Supervisor of other Psychological Therapists.

The types of difficulties I have helped people with have included: anxiety, panic, worry, low self-esteem, phobias, anger, obsessive-compulsive disorder, trauma, experiences of abuse, relationship difficulties, depression, self-injury, chronic fatigue, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Research indicates that Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is very effective for many of these mental health problems.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am also a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.

My most recent NHS post held was Senior Clinical Psychologist and Team Leader at the Southwark Psychological Therapies Service within the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.
