After finishing my training through the Wessex rotation, I have spent the last fifteen years working as a Rheumatologist.
I provide outpatient and inpatient care for people with rheumatic conditions. I run special interest clinics, including connective tissue clinics, inflammatory arthritis clinics and spinal clinics, as well as doing general rheumatology clinics.
Alongside my clinical work, I take part in research, audits and teaching. I am a member of the ARMA group (Arthritis and Musculo-skeletal Alliance). Within Poole Hospital, I am a member of the Drug Committee.
I perform various rheumatological procedures, along with joint and spinal injections. Having trained to perform ultrasound for some conditions, I now use the US machine we have in the department to help in diagnosis and treatment.
