About me

Mr Mark Jeffery is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University Hospital Lewisham where he is a Specialist in Shoulder and Upper Limb Surgery.
His practice encompasses the full range of shoulder and upper limb (elbow, wrist) & hand) problems, both surgically and non-surgically. He is recognised as an expert in arthroscopic surgery, he uses the latest techniques and technology to achieve the best outcomes, working closely with physiotherapists and radiologists.
As a RFU coach and tennis player he has an interest in sport injuries, treating the professional to the social player.
In addition to his regular work he is the appointed Educational Lead in Surgery for Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, responsible for the training and development of medical students to that of orthopaedic surgeons of the future. He is also a Royal College of Surgeon’s Tutor.

Mr Jeffery qualified from Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School, London. His specialist surgical training was in London and at the renowned The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital. He completed a fellowship in complex reconstructive surgery and in advanced arthroscopic techniques at the Epsom Shoulder Unit in Surrey, and a Trauma Fellowship from The Royal London Hospital.
