- General cardiology
I am a consultant cardiologist appointed to the Great Western Hospital in 2009.
As well as treating emergency cardiology patients and carrying out emergency procedures, I also have regular outpatient clinics. I am lead for heart failure and device therapy (pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronisation devices as well as permanent His Bundle pacing).
All procedures including complications are uploaded to the national audit databases for cardiology.
I work closely with my colleagues. I have an on going interest in cardiology research and enjoy collaboration with colleagues and patients to advance learning. I have been involved in both device and pharmacology studies.
In 2019 I was elected to the council of the British Heart Rhythm Society. One of the roles is drafting guidance.
Areas of interest
