- Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)
- Short Term Psychodynamic Therapy
I am a Counselling Psychologist, a chartered member and associate fellow of the British Psychological Society and registered with the HCPC. I have many years experience working in private practice and within the NHS providing a psychological service to community mental health teams and working within a psychological therapies team offering both short and longer term individual and group therapies. During this time I ran an anger management programme, Mentalisation Based Therapy groups and staff support groups for multidisciplinary teams. Whilst my main therapeutic approaches are CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) or psychodynamic therapy, I will always consider the needs of the individual and, if more suitable, work in an integrative way utilising aspects of both models of therapy in such a way as to meet the person's needs.
