Toby Richards is Professor of Surgery at UCL. He is a practicing Vascular Surgeon at UCH and the Royal Free Hospitals.
Professor Richards leads the latest advances and techniques in vascular surgery. Including; minimally invasive treatment of varicose veins, advanced vein reconstruction for DVT as well as arterial disease.
Professor Richards is one of the first dedicated specialist vascular surgeons in the UK. He
only does vascular disease and dual trained in open vascular and intervention by endovascular angioplasty and stenting He able to offer the full range of therapies to patients.
Professor Richards leads the Carotid Artery surgery program for stroke prevention and integrally involved in the management of AAA and peripheral artery disease.
Professor Richards is a key opinion leader, has a large team leading research and latest advances in vascular surgery. The Richards team has over 500 international presentations and publications.

Professor Richards focuses on patient satisfaction. All patients have direct access to Mr Richards by phone or email at all times for any questions. Following consultation, regular communication continues by email and after any procedure with telephone follow up the day after and a routine follow up at 4-6 weeks.
Patients are provided will full information about their condition to ensure they have the right procedure for their problem.
