About me

I am a Biomechanical Podiatrist with extensive biomechanical experience from treating a vast array of problems ranging from returning military battle pathologies to everyday foot and health problems.

My experience is gained through the NHS (Kent PCT) before employment by the Ministry of Defence in 2007 to provide and set up Musculoskeletal Podiatry clinics at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre, Headley Court - a Tri –Service Centre offering a broad range of rehabilitation for both chronic overuse musculoskeletal injuries as well as complex injuries sustained during the current conflicts. Here I am the clinical lead senior Podiatrist specializing in gait and lower limb biomechanical assessments for military personnel.

I also own and run Frontline Podiatry, a private practice specializing in solving lower limb problems resulting from:
• Accident and trauma,
• Sporting overuse and damage
• Gait dysfunction and loss of function as a result of neurological problems

As the first Permanent Podiatrist employed by the MOD at the DMRC Headley court I set up the podiatry service. Though a process of continual improvement over the last 7 years I have evolved it into a service to be proud of, delivering professionally renowned and remarked levels of service and quality. This improvement and high level of quality has been delivered in the face of the increasing patient numbers and the increased severity and complexity of cases due to the threats seen by servicemen and women in current conflicts. I leverage expertise in biomechanics and gait analysis to treat the most varied range of pathologies and trauma ranging from Improvised Explosive Devices explosions resulting in catastrophic deformities and limb loss to chronic overuse pathologies such as exertional anterior shin pain.
Within this constantly challenging role I have had to develop excellent problem solving skills and application of my own initiative due to the lack of tested ways of dealing with such rare and complex injuries. Due to the Military setting, time is precious and returning military personnel back to active service is paramount. Through this I have developed the ability to manage complex cases, heavy workload and deal with the pressure of balancing the day to day clinical duty with running of the department and continued development of a first class service from scratch
