About me

David Elliot is the senior hand surgeon of the St. Andrew's Centre, Essex. He was an Open Scholar of Oxford University, holder of the BAPS Kay-Kilner and BSSH Pulvertaft prizes and is the author of over 120 publications. He is a past BSSH president, past JHS(E) editor, past BAHT president, a past FESSH diploma examiner and past IFSSH flexor committee chairman. He is a professor of the University of Las Palmas, reviews for JHSEuropean and IJPS, and is an honorary member of APSI and ISSH. He has been APSI Godrej orator (2007), Foundation Speaker of the RACS(2001 and 2012), ISSH Venkataswami Orator (2004), Kleinert-Kutz Professor in Louisville(2006),Visiting Professor in South Africa(2006) and Narakas Speaker of the Swiss Hand Society (2014).
