About me

Dr Stuart Webb qualified at University College Hospital before training in General Medicine, Cardiology and Geriatric Medicine at The Royal Free, National Heart and Hammersmith Hospitals. He was awarded an MD as British Heart Foundation Junior Research Fellow at the Cardiothoracic Institute and conducted further research in electrophysiology at The Royal Postgraduate Medical School.

He was appointed as Consultant Physician at St Mary’s Hospital in 1987 with sessional commitments to the Department of Medicine for the Elderly and Cardiology. Dr Webb retired from this post in February 2011 and continues to consult at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth. He has a special interest in cardiovascular disease in the elderly and all aspects of perioperative medicine. He has chaired the Drugs and Therapeutic Committee at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth for the last eight years.

Cardiovascular disease, heart failure, hypertension, pre-operative assessment.
