Overview

About me

I graduated from St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, University of London where I was awarded the Crawford Exhibition. I received my postgraduate training in neurosurgery, anaesthesia and pain medicine in London and completed my postgraduate training in Australia as the Kings Fund Travelling Fellow.

I was appointed Consultant in Pain Medicine to St Bartholomew's Hospital, London in 1985, Visiting Consultant to St Joseph's Hospice, London in 1986, Honorary Senior Lecturer to St Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, University of London in 1994 and Consultant in Pain Medicine at Frimley Park Hospital, Surrey in 2001. I am now in full-time Independent Practice.

I have lectured nationally and internationally and have published widely in both journals and text books.

My main interests are back pain, neck pain, neuropathic pain and cancer pain.
