About me

I have been in private practice since retiring from the NHS after 42 years in London and the North East.

I have worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in Psychotherapy and also as a Consultant General Psychiatrist in an early intervention service.

I have represented psychiatry in Western Europe to the World Psychiatric Association and am past Chair of the International Society for the Psychological and Social Approaches to Psychosis.

I have edited numerous books and published widely and continue to lecture internationally
