About me
Tony Wright was an ENT consultant at the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospital until recently and now works full time in the private sector. Prior to that he worked in Liverpool and held a 2 year Medical Research Council Fellowship to investigate drug induced damage in the human inner ear. Not surprisingly he has maintained his interest in hearing and balance and this is now his specialist clinical field. He was the a past president of the ENT Research Society and sat on the Specialist Advisory Committee of the Royal College of Surgeons to assess the quality of training of junior ENT surgeons. When he was Dean of the Ear Institue he was part of a group that raised £13.5m to build a new Centre for Auditory Research. He has taught extensively over the years, especially in relation to ear surgery. Tony Wright also has a Law degree and undertakes medicolegal work for Claimants and Defendants alike
