About us

Professor Kang has had extensive experience in Gastroenterology and endoscopy for more than 35 years. He has performed more than 5,000 colonoscopies and over 14,000 gastroscopies with a significant complication rate of 0.1%.

Professor Kang is a co-author of the latest British Society of Gastroenterology guidelines for the management of Barrett’s Oesophagus, published in 2014, followed by most gastroenterologists in this country and many beyond. He is a member of the Multinational Committee within the ROME Foundation, an international organization which promotes research into functional gastrointestinal disorders and whose diagnostic criteria for conditions like irritable bowel syndrome and functional dyspepsia are adopted by gastroenterologists throughout the world. Professor Kang is also co-Lead of the National Registry of eosinophilic oesophagitis.
