About me

Ms Rita Ohri had been an NHS consultant in Whipps Cross University Hospital for 18 years.
She specialises in general ophthalmology such as external eye diseases, glaucoma, inflammatory eye problems and has also run the Paediatric eye service and medical Diabetic eye service with a lot of experience in laser work. She had a regular paediatric and general ophthalmology operating list. In addition she performs lid and oculoplastics and lacrimal surgery, having been trained in the Oculoplastic Unit in Moorfields Eye Hospital..
She currently practices at the Hospital of St John and St Elizabeth and works part time for the National Health Service as a Locum for the Royal Free Hospital , clinics for Moorfields Eye Hospital and the North Middlesex University Hospital - both Out Patients and has done their Paediatric operating lists .
She also regularly does teaching and training for a few months every year in Tanzania Dar Es Salaam where she teaches nurses, surgery and clinical cases to Junior doctors and Senior colleagues in a semi charitable status in a Tertiary referral very busy eye unit .
She has been an examiner and Regional adviser for the Royal College of Ophthalmology in the past and is also an examiner for Final year medical students.
