He also deals with specific conditions such as inflammatory bowel disease, coeliac disease and liver disease
In the private sector he provides 2 private clinics and 1endoscopy lists. Between the private and NHS sector he was seeing about 1200 new patients a year, and undertakeing 800 endoscopic examinations.He has recently dropped his NHS commitments

In the past he has been Clinical Director for Medicine at Cheltenham General Hospital,Chair of the Clinical Governance Committee and Clinical Tutor for the Royal College of Physicians.

He was Coordinator of Clinical Medicine for final Year Medical Students from Bristol fo 6 years and Programme Director For Gastroenterology for the South West Region for 5 years.
