About me

I was appointed to Queen' s Medical Centre, University Hospital, Nottingham as Consultant/Senior Lecturer in 1981 and was subsequently promoted to Professor of Clinical Immunology & Allergy. I have been a member of several national committees advising on standards of allergy care and related drug treatments in the UK. I was Treasurer of The British Society of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (2008-2011).

Allergies, including anaphylaxis;
Reactions to foods (food allergy and intolerance);
Urticaria (hives) and angioedema (swellings);
Reactions to insect venom;
Rhinitis (allergic and non-allergic);
Desensitisation, using oral vaccines;
Reactions to drugs;
Chronic fatigue syndrome / fibromyalgia;
Immunodeficiency;
Connective tissue disease, e.g. SLE
