Norman Johnson is a Consultant Respiratory Physician at King Edward VII's Hospital, London, and previously at the Whittington Hospital and UCLH and the Middlesex Hospitals, London. He was formerly a Senior Lecturer at University College London Medical School, London. He was formerly Honorary Consultant to St Luke's Hospital for the Clergy.

Dr Johnson has a wide experience of providing independent medical reports for the Courts, and of advising in medical negligence matters. He has extensive experience of writing reports on liability and causation, in both respiratory and acute general medicine.
He was selected as an outright winner of a Lawyer Monthly Expert Witness Award 2017, in recognition of his specialized knowledge and experience as an expert witness/consultant

General respiratory medicine - causes of cough, breathlessness, sputum and chest pain; asthma, COPD, respiratory infections - Pneumonia, Tuberculosis, Interstitial lung diseases, Sarcoidosis, Lung Fibrosis. Pulmonary Embolism, diagnosis of lung cancer, pneumothorax.

He has published over a hundred papers in academic journals, and has written two text books - one for undergraduate medical students (Respiratory Medicine Pocket Consultant, Blackwell Science) and one for lawyers (Respiratory Disorders, Cavendish Publishing).
