About me

I have been a consultant in respiratory medicine since 1981; initially at University College, Middlesex and Whittington Hospitals, London until 1996 and then at Bristol Royal Infirmary. I have been a consultant in respiratory medicine at Bath Clinic since 1996.

My research interests have been in asthma, interventional bronchoscopy in lung cancer, rare lung disease and tuberculosis. From 2007-10 I was Associate Postgraduate Dean and Head of Severn Postgraduate School of Medicine, Severn Deanery; responsible for the training of all junior doctors in medicine in the Severn region. I have also been Chairman of the British Thoracic Society Research Committee, coordinating national research projects in lung disease, from 1994-99.
