Dr Howard Swanton trained in Cambridge and St Thomas’s Hospital. He then took on Senior Registrar posts at St Thomas’s Hospital and the National Heart Hospital. He was Consultant Cardiologist at the Middlesex Hospital 1979-2001, and Consultant Cardiologist at the Heart Hospital 2001-2015. He is currently Consultant Cardiologist at University College Hospital. He was President British Cardiac Society from 1999-2001.
