About me

Mr Rohit Madhav is a highly experienced Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon with specialist training both in the UK and Internationally in complex foot and ankle surgery.
He has been a Consultant on the Specialist Register since 2005, amassing a wealth of experience at University College London Hospitals NHS Trust and with many professional and amateur athletes and dancers, he has a well-established and reputed private practice in the heart of Central London’s well renowned Harley Street medical district. He was also a former founding partner of The London Orthopaedic Clinic.
He has considerable knowledge, experience and technical ability in the diagnosis and treatment of lower limb injuries and ailments, including Foot and Ankle problems such as Bunions, Hammer Toes, Achilles and other Tendon disorders, Arthritis, Joint replacements, Fractures, Cartilage and ligament surgery. He is specifically highly skilled in the use of arthroscopic and other minimally invasive surgical techniques.
Foot and Ankle Surgeon to West End stage, Performing arts, Royal and Central Ballet Schools, and part of the support team for NFL and NBA in London.

CAREER TO DATE
After graduating from St Georges Hospital Medical School, London, in 1990, Mr Madhav joined the Imperial College London Orthopaedic Specialist Training programme. He gained his FRCS (Tr&Orth) accreditation with the Royal College of Surgeons and was then appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University College London in 2004. He then went into full time private practice in 2012.
He has many research and educational publications to his name and is often invited to lecture. He is also a mentor and trainer in minimally invasive bunion, toe, foot and ankle surgery to established Foot and Ankle Consultant Surgeons. He is a conveyer of the long established London Regional Foot and Ankle Surgeons problem case meetings on alternate months.
Mr Madhav has a profound interest in Orthopaedics especially the foot and ankle. He has a deep and sympathetic understanding of the complexity of ailments and injuries, and their effects at different ages, that may lead to loss of work, independence, leisure and sports pursuits. Having amassed considerable knowledge and experience with surgical and non-surgical modern treatment options, he is able to provide focused treatment designed around the personal and medical needs of his patients. Mr Madhav enjoys the diagnostic process, listening to patients, establish good rapport, and discussing all available options, whilst overseeing their clinical treatment from first consultation to final recovery.
