Dr Purves qualified at Cambridge in 1981, and trained at Addenbrookes Hospital and the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery.
He is a Consultant at Kings College Hospital and provides an extensive service in EMG and conduction studies there and in Kent. He has a particular interest in the neurophysiology of pain syndromes.
