About me

Dr Sarah Khan qualified from the University Of Sheffield in 1996 and trained in Medical Oncology at Nottingham University Hospital.
She was a clinical research fellow at the University Of Nottingham completing a DM in 2000 and MSc Oncology in 2004.

After completing her higher specialist training in medical oncology she was appointed Consultant Oncologist at Nottingham University Hospital NHS Trust in January 2010.

As a member of The Nottingham Oncology Group (TNOG) Dr Khan is part of a team of 6 Oncologists providing a comprehensive range of treatments for people with cancer in the Midlands. This means a patient can be seen the same day they enquire.

Based at the Park Cancer Centre we have access to diagnostic facilities including CT/ MRI scans and Interventional Radiology.
We also have both Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy all on one site. A fairly unique offering for patients in the private sector.

The Nottingham Oncology Group provides a Consultant presence in the Park Cancer centre every day of the week - so an Expert is always available.

Dr Khan's areas of specialisation includes the systemic treatment of Breast and Lung cancers.

Additional to clinical work, Dr Khan is also an Assistant Professor in Medical Oncology at Nottingham University NHS Trust. and Regional Specialty Advisor for Medical Oncology for Royal College of Physicians.

Dr Khan is also active in clinical research trials and recruitment of patients for both Breast and Lung cancer, with a large portfolio of trials at the Nottingham University Hospitals trust including cutting edge drugs and treatment options across phase 1, 2 and 3 trials.
