About me

Elizabeth (known as Ebby) has 25 years NHS experience working both in hospitals and in the community.
Her expertise includes working with clients at the point where their life may have been disrupted by surgery, accident, illness or the effects of ageing. Ebby is an expert in finding ways to promote independence and enable clients to continue to do the things they need and want to do and to have the best quality of life possible. As an Occupational Therapist she is able to look at how day-to-day routines affect health and well-being and take a holistic view of a client’s needs and wishes to develop a programme to suit each individual’s requirements.
Ebby has presented at national and international conferences and is highly committed to continuous professional development to ensure the highest standards of service to clients.
Ebby is based in South West Scotland. She has previously worked in England and Australia and has gained experience in the United States. She now works within the NHS and the private sector.

Based in South West Scotland, but able to travel by arrangement.

Areas of interest

Rehabilitation after illness or injury e.g. hip fracture or stroke; Solutions to everyday living difficulties e.g. equipment for the home; Remaining independent in older age e.g. staying safe within the home; Making the most of life despite the restrictions of a long term condition or life limiting illness e.g. managing fatigue; Hand therapy for arthritic conditions e.g. joint protection techniques and/or splints.
