About me

Following my orthopaedic and trauma training in Budapest, I came to the UK in 2005. I had further specialist training in a wide range of subspecialties and a formal fellowship in hip and knee replacement surgery at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire. I was first appointed as a consultant in the UK in 2009.

I worked for Oxford University Hospitals between 2013-2019 as a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon. Since January 2019 I only work in the private sector.

I specialize in hip and knee replacement surgery, joint preservation and sports injuries of the knee.

In my clinical work I perform hip replacements including cemented and uncemented techniques using minimally invasive techniques.

In the knee I aim to preserve the joint and offer re-alignment surgery instead of replacement where possible. I use both total and partial knee replacements including patello-femoral implants depending on the areas affected by arthritis. From 2021 I am offering custom made knee replacements for my private patients.

I am leading the implementation of a rapid recovery and day surgery pathway for joint replacement patients at the Ramsay Treatment Centre. This brings several benefits for our patients with better pain management, quicker mobilization and sleeping in their own bed on the day of surgery!

I have a special interest in the use of digital technology for precision, personalized medicine.

I hold a Ph.D degree in cartilage research and I am the author of several papers published internationally on this subject as well as on aspects of hip surgery.
