About me

Welcome to Brighter Futures Counselling.
I am a fully qualified and accredited Counsellor with 12 years experience in the counselling field.
Counselling is an opportunity for you to explore past and present experiences, emotions and thoughts in a safe, confidential space. And importantly, counselling will support you to find ways to move forward, to help you feel more positive about yourself and the future and to help you make the changes you want to make.

The main therapies I am experienced in and use are:
Person-centred: where the needs of the client drive the direction of therapy.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: Looking at how our thoughts influence our behaviour and developing goals and solutions to change them.
Psychodynamic: how we are today is rooted in past experiences.
I am also experienced in Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focussed Therapy and Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy. I practise and deliver mindfulness to groups and individuals, which is proven to help reduce stress and anxiety.

The first step is a first introductory session, to find out whether counselling might be helpful and whether I am the right Counsellor for you.Use the contact details to get in touch. The Introductory Session would be a reduced rate.
