About me

Michel Michaelides is a Consultant Ophthalmologist specialising in Medical Retina, Inherited Eye Disease and Paediatric Ophthalmology. He is a Department of Health funded Professor of Ophthalmology at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.

He is an experienced expert, for all genetic eye diseases, diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration (AMD), macula oedema, venous and arterial retinal occlusions, eye floaters and flashing lights. He carries out eye injections for the treatment of AMD, diabetic retinopathy and vascular occlusions.

He is the principal investigator in multiple on-going clinical trials investigating novel and established therapies.
